It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mickey Whittington of Varnville, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Whittington and Lucille Hyott Whittington; his grandson Justin Ronald Whittington; and his brother Robert "Bobby" Whittington. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Hudson Whittington of Varnville; his children, Barry Whittington of Varnville, Jay Whittington (Ann) of Hampton and Lorretta Smith (James) of Varnville; his grandchildren, JJ (Rachael), Jeremy, Dakota and Brendan; his great grandchild Justin Ronald Whittington, Jr.; and his brother Harry L. Whittington of Winter Haven, Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
