She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Donald Alexander and Nelle Jones Alexander; her husband Randolph Murdaugh, III; her daughter-in-law Maggie Murdaugh; her grandson Paul Murdaugh; and her brother-in-law Arlen Cotter.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Murdaugh Goettee (Allen), Randolph "Randy" Murdaugh, IV (Christy), Richard Alexander Murdaugh and John Marvin Murdaugh (Liz); her grandchildren, Mills Goettee, Trey Goettee, Buster Murdaugh, Reeves Goettee, Mary Elizabeth Murdaugh, Caroline Murdaugh, Mary Marvin Murdaugh, Liza Grace Murdaugh and Randolph Murdaugh; her siblings, Janet Cotter and Don Alexander (Lisa); her sister-in-law Brenda Young (Tommy); and also Barbara Mixson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
