He is survived by: his wife Barbara June Witherell (Mouse) of Vance; and his children, Heather Witherell Ray (Robert) of Elm City, NC, Thelice Roxanne Witherell (Richard Spangler) of Manning, SC and David Scott Witherell, Sr. (Jennifer) of Vance, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
