It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Wesley Sweat Jr. of Vance, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Scott Sweat and Charles Sweat, Sr.. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Sweat Alexander-Stalo of Sarasota, Fla.; his sisters, Annie Sweat Knight (Rudy) and Cynthia Sweat Myers of Varnville; and his nephew Michael D. Knight. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charles's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
