She is survived by: her parent May Ruth Johnston; her children, Leatha Neal (William) of Spartanburg, Vernice Glenn (Eric) of Jonesville and Freddie James Gardener Jr. (Dorothy) of Union; and her siblings, Kendall Johnston, Shirley Nevius, Lucinda Moses and Pandora Johnston. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
