He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Jeter and Lula Jeter. He is survived by: his children, Camryn B. Sims and Destynee B. Sims of Simpsonville; his siblings, Woodrow Jeter Jr. of Carlisle, Winthrop Jeter (Tonya) of Newberry, Dexter Cromer of Newberry, Mondell Jeter, Sharon Jeter, Tracy Jeter, Melinda Brewer (Derrick) and Marlene Jeter; and his grandmother Louise Jeter of Carlisle.
