He was predeceased by: his parents, John Monroe Pierce and Myrtle Leola Blythe Pierce; and his wife Cornelia Moore Pierce. He is survived by: his children, Robert Douglas Pierce, Jr. of Waxhaw, Karen Pierce Carter (Brian) of Indian Land and LeAnne Pierce Perkins of Waxhaw; his sister Mary Ethel Stegall of Monroe; his grandchildren, Cameron, Christopher, Caleb, Justin, Kyleigh Carter, Lane, Cole and Scarlett Perkins; and his great grandchild Ridge Perkins.
