He is survived by: his wife Diane Johnson; his children, Vernell Johnson, Reuben Johnson III, Tiffany Johnson and Kareem Reid; his stepdaughter Tanya Jiggetts; his grandchildren, Malik, Daryl, Christina, Calik, Tyrek and Keyshawn; his great grandchildren, Janiah, Mariah, Amil, Madison, Malun', Amiana, Charlie, Santana, Chace, Kiyomi and Stephan; his siblings-in-law, Mary Johnson (Charles) and Russell Gibbs (Pam); his niece Nykia Johnson; his nephew Charles Sartor; and his cousins, Joe, Shirley, Pearleen and Sandy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
