She is survived by: her children, John Henry Means Jr. Larry, James Means (Rebecca), Shirley Allen, Mary Means, Barbara Henderson Margaret Means (Micheal) and Tiffany Means; her son-in-law Darius Dillard; and her siblings, Douglas Davis (Floreta) and Martha Ann Simmons. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
