She was predeceased by: her husband James Thomas; her parents, Reverend Benjamin Gilliam and Lettie Louise Young Gilliam; and her children, Eugene Thomas and Edna Ruth Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Thomas (Elmira) of Union, SC, Charles Lee Thomas (Elizabeth) of Union, SC, Mary Frances Thomas Epps of Union, SC, Julia Ann Gage of Union, SC, Irene Harris (Tony) of Little Rock, AR, Reverend Shirley Wheeler (Marshall) of Buffalo, SC and Joyce Crawford of Spartanburg, SC; and her siblings, Robert Lee Gilliam of Staten Island, NY and Annie Mae Thomas of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
