With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmira Richards (Union, South Carolina), who passed away on May 12, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Woodrow Wilson Hammond; her parents, Virgil Walton and Lula Hughes Walton; and her son Douglas Hammond. She is survived by: her son Samuel Hammond (Yvonne) of Union; her sisters, Moatha Jones of Greenville and Mamie Walton of Union; and her close friend Shirley Minyard. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.
