She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Dawkins and Christina Jeter Dawkins; and her sister Doris "Regina" Dawkins. She is survived by: her sons, David Gist Jr and Donald Keith Gist Sr. (Monica) of Union; her siblings, Berlie D. Dawkins of Whitmire, Eugene Sanders of Detroit, MI, Fannie A. Dawkins Shelton (Boisy Lee), Ruth A. Dawkins Lyles and Johnsie Mae Harris (Joseph) of Youngstown, OH; her grandchildren, Latavia Gist, Donald Keith Gist Jr. and Jarvis "Shun" Broadus; and her great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Gist and Kamren Gist.
