He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Virginia Thompson Rice; his parents, William Rice and Mamie Prysock Rice; his children, Mickey Rice (Tasha) of Lyman, Curtis Rice (Debbie Ann) of Union, Donald Rice (Terchia) of Union, Ronald Rice, Rickey Rice (Tilia) of Union, Betty Williamson of Union and Darlene Mobley of Union; and his siblings, Charles Rice (Ruby) of Detroit and Natalie Byrd (Robert) of Raleigh. He was also cherished by twenty three grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
