He was predeceased by: his parents, Miller Herbert Mellette, Jr. and Olive Coker Mellette. He is survived by: his sons, Joe Miller Mellette, Jr. of Florence and Miller Herbert Mellette III (Rogan) of New Zion; his grandchildren, Carsten Mellette, Jackson Mellette, Olive Grace Mellette and Millie Mellette; his siblings, Ann Hall of Longs, Janet Calder (Johnny) of Conway and Eddie Mellette (Sue) of Columbia; and his close friend Landa Bleasdale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Joe's memory.
