He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Elizabeth Miller Mims; his children, Jack Tyson Mims (Corrie) of Turbeville, John Bryce Mims of Turbeville, Erin Elizabeth Mims Kell (Jonathan) of Willow Springs, NC and Julie Marie Mims Douglas (Frank) of Turbeville; his sister Freddia M. Matthews of Turbeville; and his grandchildren, Anna Kell, Caitlyn Kell, David Kell, Micah Kell, Levi Kell, Rachel Kell, David Douglas, Miller Douglas, Riley Douglas, Ellie Douglas, Kynlee Douglas, Mara Pierce, Madden Pierce, Lizzie Mims and Jack Mims. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
