She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyne Patterson and Willie Patterson of Troy; her husband Joel Calhoun of Troy; her siblings, Lillie Rouse, Louise Thomas, Ida Mae Calhoun, Alma Calhoun, Sarah Hogan and Willie Patterson, Jr.; and her daughters, Mildred Ann Timpson, Gladys Mae Robinson and Maggie Leen Dunlap.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Edward Calhoun (Diane), Joel Lee Calhoun (Loretta), Benjamin Calhoun (Bobby), James Calhoun, Jr., Mable Drennon, Cynthia Gail Martin, Angela Calhoun Boozer and Jessie Louise Calhoun. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
