He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Cortez Henson and Sendy Elizabeth Henson (Hughes); his son Matthew "Tater" Henson; and his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Henson Moore, Josiephine "Jo" H. Robinson Lewis, Derrell Henson, Donnie Henson, Jerry Henson, Larry Henson and Leonard Henson.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Martin Henson; his daughter Amanda Henson Galloway (Rusty) of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Abby Galloway, Ty Alsup and Lindsie Henson.
