She is survived by: her parents, Sergeant Ferris and Lucy Aline Slaughter Bettis; her spouse John Clifton Salter; her siblings, Wanda Davis, Ferris Bettis, Jr., Walter Bettis and Robert Bettis; her daughters, Susan Ann Galicia (Fredy) and Lake Charles; and her siblings-in-law, Dave Salter and Marie Bettis. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
