He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vanoy Vernon and Mantha Eudora Tate Armstrong; his wife Linda Brooks Armstrong; his sister Elaine Armstrong Adams (Larry); and his nieces, Wendy Adams Bassett (Matt) and Stacey Adams Weinberger (Paul).
