He is survived by: his wife Cathy Davis Powell; his children, Kayla Powell, Heath Powell (Julia) and Shayne Powell, Jr. (Sonya); his siblings, Erik Powell, Kip Powell, Joel Powell (Jennifer) and Ramona Leary (Deron); and his grandchildren, Elisha, Eian, Zeke, Zayne, Zion, Aiden, Canaan, Chael, Judah, Skylar and Shiloh.
