He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Dalton Smith and Grace Stafford Smith; and his brother Nathan Smith. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hooper Smith; his daughters, Theresa Ledford (Brian) and Gwen Pointer (Chad); his grandchildren, Gracen, Halton, Creed Ledford and Courtney Pointer (Drec Ellis); his great grandchild Alayna Ellis; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Abbott Smith and Micheal Hooper.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:20 PM at the Howze Mortuary, Inc. (6714 State Park Rd, Travelers Rest, SC 29690). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Reedy River Baptist Church (6714 State Park Rd, Travelers Rest, SC 29690).
