He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Cowan and Carrie Ledford Cowan; and his brother Ernie Cowan. He is survived by: his children, David Cowan (Rebecca), Jennifer Bittle (William) and Amanda Lesh (Joe); his brothers, Hiram Cowan and Pernell Cowan (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Eric, Sam, Sage, Jackson, Sullivan, Joseph, Judah and Hudson Morgan.
