She was predeceased by: her husband Attorney Charles Wilson Spence; her sister Patricia W. Barker; her stepchildren, Steven R. Spence, Edward D. Spence and Susan F. Spence; and her stepgrandson John W. Spence.

She is survived by: her nephew John Spence; her stepdaughter Laura J. Spence; her stepgranddaughter Jessica M Spence; her niece Anita McKinney; her cousins, Frankie Beaman, Lou Ann Campbell, Anita Wooten, Ariel Snyder, Stephanie, Crystal Corriher, Sarah Henry, Jane Steelman, Anna Steelman, Sherry Young, Wanda Henry, Sammy Eads, Susan Johnson, Debbie Steelman and Janice Steelman; and her friends, Leny Emich, Margie Emich and Uta Shervin.
