He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Bruce Willis and Stanley Harris; and his great-grandparent Annette Sparks Carter. He is survived by: his parents, William Thomas and Madison Harris Carter; his brothers, Lincoln Joel Carter and Levi Thomas Carter; his grandparents, Scott, Tanya Willis Harris, Michael and Kimberly Terrell Carter; and his great-grandparents, Virginia Willis, Linda Harris, John, Dolly Gossett Terrell and Bill Carter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsen St., Charleston, SC 29401.
