He is survived by: his wife Robbie Ware LaVern; his son David Lee LaVern (Kim); his granddaughters, Caroline Grace LaVern, Ann Elise LaVern and Catherine Camille LaVern; his sister Geneva Louise LaVern; and his sister-in-law Patricia Ware Leiber (Marshall). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
