He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hunt and Alberta Williams Hunt; his granddaughter Angel Duckett Ford; and his siblings, Lindsey Hunt, Wade Hunt, Ronell Hunt, Annie Hunt Foster and Mary Hunt Bowens.

He is survived by: his children, Joyce Ann Ford and Robert McCarroll; his sister Betty Jo Hunt Gamble of Hartford, CT; his grandchildren, Druscilla Ford, Priscilla Stevens (Derrick), Michelle Johnson Ford (Craig Johnson), William Ford, Jr., Adrian Wright and Dustin Littlejohn; his niece Martha McKinney; and his close friend Priscilla Blassingames. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
