It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Strahan (Travelers Rest, South Carolina), born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on August 1, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Gertrude Abrahams (Tiahrt); her spouses, Paul Pettit and Jim Strahan; her son Robert Wayne Pettit; her stepson James Strahan; and her siblings, Bob Abrahams, Jim Abrahams, Edith Hoffpauir, Bettye Palmer and Grace Burge.
She is survived by: her daughter Trudi Bergland (Don); her daughter-in-law Cynde Pettit Fetzer (Brent); her grandchildren, Trent, Derek, Jordan Pettit, Mitchell Bergland and Greg Bergland; her great grandchildren, Aubrey Pettit, Owen Pettit and Zoey Bergland; and her siblings, Alice Bertrand (Bill) and Bill Abrahams (Charli). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
