He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elijah Hollifield and Bertha Mae Hollifield; and his siblings, Leonard Hollifield, Richard Hollifield, Lawerence Hollifield, Kenneth Hollifield and Margaret Hollifield.
He is survived by: his wife Judy McCarter Hollifield; his daughters, Jane Hollifield and Scarlet Hollifield; his granddaughters, Kayla Sparks (P. J.) and Emily Lauren Lawhon (Chris); and his great grandchild Zane Sparks.
