He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Hobbs and Louise Fraser Hobbs; and his granddaughter Audrey Kate "Baby Kate" Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Connie Pedersen Hobbs; his daughter Audrey Hobbs Byrd (William "TJ"); his grandchildren, Willow Grace and Charleigh Temple; his stepgranddaughter Lena Byrd; his sisters, Lovett Hobbs White and Brenda Lee (Ernie); his nieces, Amie Mudge, Heather Andrews, Tiffany Edwards and Sharmon Schyuler; and his nephew Ashley Register.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tans Bay Baptist Church (3919 S Irby St, Effingham, SC 29505). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (100 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tans Bay Baptist Church, 3919 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505.
