He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Clement Spivey and Helen Paige Spivey; and his brothers, Darrell Spivey, George Spivey and Greg Spivey.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Powers Spivey; his children, Tim Spivey (Terry) of Summerville and Vickie Law (Robert) of Grant, Alabama; his grandchildren, Kendall Doyle, Keith Doyle, Aron Jackson, Matthew Spivey and Paige O'Neal; and his brothers, Hampton Lee Spivey of Ramseur, NC, Brian Spivey (Vicki) of Greensboro, NC, Jim Spivey (Julie) of Asheboro, NC and Ken Spivey (Rebecca) of Asheboro, NC.. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
