It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Welch (Timmonsville, South Carolina), born in Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Major and Myrtle Grantham Welch; his son David Lawrence Welch; and his siblings, Charlie "Bud" Welch, Edgar "Boot" Welch, F. M. "Popeye" Welch and Peggy Welch.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean O'Neal Welch; his daughters, Barbara W. Mims and Donna W. Sauceman (Steve); his sisters, Hazel Turner (Ron), Bonita Ham (Teggie) and Juanita Sharpe (Jack); his grandchildren, Bobi, Nigel, Brittany and Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Bethany, Joel, Daniel, Sarah and Nicklas.
