He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hadfield and Sarah McClusky; his son Joe Hadfield; and his brother Tom McClusky. He is survived by: his wife Stella Kathryn Francisco Hadfield; his daughters, Debbie Kennedy (Charles) and Kelly Vaughn Knouff; his grandchildren, Angel Recce (Ryan), Desiree McCauley (Daniel), Christopher Kennedy and Catherine Vaughn; his great grandchildren, Ethan Kennedy and Alexander Recce; and his sisters, Joann, Judy and Cora.
