It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Willard McKelvey Sr. of Timmonsville, South Carolina, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard H. McKelvey and Marian McElroy McKelvey of Virginia; and his brothers, Jimmy McKelvey, Richard McKelvey and Robert F. Allen.

He is survived by: his wife Greta Flowers McKelvey; his daughters, Neale McKelvey Young (Darryl) of Charleston and Michele McKelvey Driggers (Jeff) of Effingham, SC.; his grandchildren, Matt Humphries (Taylor) of Florence, SC, Zach Humphries of Effingham, SC and Lauren Humphries of Effingham, SC.; and his brother-in-law Mike Flowers.
