It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Dawkins of Timmonsville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoyt and Mary Carroll Langston Dawkins; his brother Max L. Poston; and his granddaughters, Emerson and Everleigh.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Moran Dawkins; his sisters, Robin Dawkins and Kimberlyn Poston; his children, Shelby Dawkins and Brock Dawkins (Liz); his former spouses, Ashley Rogers (Tim), Michael Rogers and Kathryn Rogers (Thomas); his grandchildren, Kaylen, McKinley, Luke, Liam, Reece, Lawson, Pierson, Hallie, Haigan, Wrenley, Ledger, Drake and Hazel; his niece Brittany Dawkins; his great-nephew Everett; and his aunt Joyce Wilson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lake Swamp Baptist Church (6558 Oates Hwy, Timmonsville, SC 29161). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery (6558 Oates Hwy, Timmonsville, SC 29161).
