He was predeceased by: his parents, Dannie Morris and Edna Morris; and his son Ernest Morris, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Thornbrew Morris; his children, Jason Chittwood, Christopher Morris, Chad Morris (Jena) and Debra Hines (Joey); and his siblings, LeVern Morris (Ann), Carey Morris (Sheila), Elaine Dozier and Joanne Arnn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
