He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Chappell and Lessie Cagle Chappell; his wife Jeannette Morris Chappell; and his son Chris Chappell. He is survived by: his sons, Ernie Chappell (April), Bobby Chappell (Callie) and Danny Chappell (Danielle); and his siblings, Jimmy Chappell, Ginny Ray (Jerrold) and Brenda Herron (Randy). He is also survived by grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home (4210 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC 29501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
