He is survived by: his wife Melinda Joy Matthews; his children, Jarrod Matthews of Missouri and Ashley Bazen (Chris) of Florence; his grandchildren, Kelsi Cooper, Derrick Cooper (DJ), Carter Bazen and Adlyn Matthews; his siblings, Betty Sims of Lynchburg, Frances Rodkey of Ft. Wayne, IN, Don Matthews of Florence and Mickey Matthews (Vivian) of Effingham; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Floyd of Maryland, Karen Blanton of Nichols and Rhonda Moore of Mullins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and fur babies.
