He is survived by: his parents, Robert Kirkland of Ocala, FL and Brenda Jones Kirkland of Tillman, SC; and his brothers, Neal Gordon Kirkland (Summer) of Polk City, FL and William Kyle Kirkland of Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
