Woody Penn Wright Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Woody Penn Wright of Tega Cay, South Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Dilworth and Bud Hampton; his mother-in-law Elizabeth Garfield; and his brother Myron Wright. He is survived by: his stepfather Russell Wright; his daughters, Elizabeth (Jeremy) and Kara; his wife Elsie Garfield; his son Sean (Katy Jo); his grandsons, Sean Ryan and Ellis Rowe; his sister Denise Spriggs (Greg); his brothers-in-law, Robert (Ambra) and Samuel Garfield (Barbara); and his cousins, Karen Golden (Fleming) and Jon Marc Wright (Charlene). He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
The family requests that gifts in his memory be made to the Howard University School of Engineering, Memory and Movement Charlotte (non-profit family-focused medical practice specializing in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other memory/movement disorders), Hospice and Community Care (non-profit based in Fort Mill, S.C.) or a charity of your choice.
