It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelda (Melton) McDonald of Tega Cay, South Carolina, born in Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Crayton Melton and Wincie Melton; her siblings, Elwin Melton (Ora Lee), Herbert Melton (late Joyce) and Judy Helms (late CR); and her grandson Corey Flynt.

She is survived by: her husband Paul McDonald; her children, Debra McDonald-Flynt of Charlotte and Keith McDonald (Denise); her grandchildren, Kathleen Atwell (Ben), Ryan McDonald (Lauren) and Conner McDonald; her great grandchild Kate McDonald; her grandchild Baby Atwell; and her siblings, Jackie Melton (Nancy), Tommie Stegall (Walter) and Ellen Cox (late Butch).
