He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Bridges, Sr. and Junie Mae Moss Bridges; his wife Wando Fay Brown Bridges; his close friend Sarah King; and his siblings, John Bridges, Jr., Joe Bridges, Macie Shidal, Mattie Brown and Barbara Jean Mashman Orpen.

He is survived by: his nephew Gary Wayne Brown (Lynn).
