He is survived by: his wife Jill Sloan; his children, Dr. Becky Pletzer of Eagle River, Alaska and Gregory Monroe of Vandercook Lake, Michigan; his grandsons, Sloan Pletzer, Sawyer Pletzer, Riley Monroe and Reid Monroe; his brother Daniel Monroe (Kim) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his sister-in-law JoAnn White (Don) of Travelers Rest.
