He is survived by: his wife Janice Smith Batson; his son David Batson (Terressa); his grandchildren, Jade Ross (Bryan), Haley Batson and Drew Batson; his great grandchildren, Makenzie and Kason Ross; and his sisters, Joyce Shay (Bud) and Margaret Crisp.
