He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Wade Stephens; his parents, Thomas Rufus and Ila Owens Stephens; and his siblings, Rev. Paul Stephens, Robert W. Stephens, Gene Stephens, James Stephens, Mary Stephens Edwards, Sara Tollison, Helen Howard, Rachel Burns, Jeanette Reeves and Alice Elrod.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald "Skipper" Stephens (Tina) of Greer, Alan "Scott" Stephens (Lori) of Greer and Angella Smith (Billy) of Greer; his brother Charles Stephens of Greer; his grandchildren, Tray Stephens, Leah (Jake Hagood), Hunter Smith, Kyle (Clair Smith), Cameron Stephens, Madison Stephens, Kendall Stephens and Wesleigh Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Kaleb and Melody. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
