He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Hunt and Nora Hunt; and his sister Linda Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Hunt of South Carolina; his children, Cheryl Tague (Mike) of Grand Haven, Connie Palmer of Fruitport, Tara Warren (Roy) of South Carolina, Missy Davis of South Carolina, Ron Hunt (Ronda) of Muskegon and Bob Hunt (Heather) of Saugatuck; his sister Carol Ward of Florida; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Ludema (Linda) of Holland, MI and Tom Ludema (Sue) of Tennessee. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
