He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Louise Shelton; his brother Donald Shelton; his grandson Matthew Kilgus; and his parents, Esther Merle and Rex Horris Shelton.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Lyn Kilgus (Mark), Sharon Shelton Hulcy (Brad) and Daniel Dale Shelton (Renee); his grandchildren, Kristi Easterly (Chad), Chad Hulcy (Sarah), Laura Kilgus Noe (Max), Kyle Shelton (Elyssa) and Cameron Shelton; his great grandchildren, Owen, Lily, Brooklyn Hulcy, Kimberly, Lavender, Israel Shelton and Waylon Easterly; and his sister Rexella Van Impe.
