He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Newhart and Nora Irene Bondham Newhart; and his former wife Lina Mae Hancock Newhart. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Lynn Newhart of Taylors; his children, Robert L. Newhart, Jr. (Shirley) of Bluffton, SC and Angela Outen (Keith) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Jeremy Newhart, Miranda Newhart, Ashley Outen and Nick Outen; and his great grandchild Linsey Newhart.
