It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Noel McDowell (Taylors, South Carolina), born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Edgar Allen McDowell; her brother Michael Allen McDowell; and her grandparents, Stanley, Minnie Earle McDowell, Forrest and May Wheeler.
She is survived by: her mother Marceline Wheeler McDowell of Taylors, SC; her sisters, Julie Gainous (Jeff) of Greenville, SC and Cynthia Ford (James, Jr.) of Moore, SC; her niece Catherine Silvey (Don); her nephews, Michael Gainous, James Gainous (Lydia) and Mitchell Vaughan (Grace Ann); her great-niece Charlotte Jackson; and her great-nephews, Thomas Jackson, Everett and Branson Vaughan.
