He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Pete" Wells Alewine, Sr. and Myrtle Elizabeth Taylor Alewine; and his siblings, George Wells Alewine, Jr., William Raymond Alewine and Aileen Odom.
He is survived by: his daughters, Libby Thruston of Greenville and Anne Alewine of Taylors; his siblings, Francis T. "Corky" Alewine of Taylors and Fannie Nell Alewine of Taylors; his granddaughter Amy Griffith (Chance) of Easley; and his great grandchildren, Keegan of Easley, Kaden of Easley and Gracie Griffith of Easley.
