He was predeceased by: his father Jack R. Porter; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Tyus Lemoine and Marvin Tyus. He is survived by: his wife Heidi Tyus Porter; his mother Betty Blevins Porter of Simpsonville; his sons, Jacob Porter (Kayla), Philip Porter and Joseph "Chug" Porter (Erica); his brother Steve Porter (Tammy); his mother-in-law Laura Tyus; and his brother-in-law Marion Tyus (Vickie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a number of four-legged grandfurbabies.
